# Welcome to Tela

> Build AI applications in plain language, test them, and put them to work with your team or through the API

Tela is where you turn instructions written in plain language into applications that read documents, classify messages and extract data. You write a **Prompt**, test it against real examples, publish it, and share it with your team as an **App** or call it from your own systems through the **API**.
